The Wunda Chair, underrated and often over-looked in the Pilates world is quite challenging. The Wunda Chair was invented as a result of Joseph Pilates’ observation of Chinese acrobatic maneuvers on a "box"; when turned over it doubles as an actual chair.
Pilates enthusiasts are drawn to the Chair because of its versatility and challenge. In a one hour Chair semi-private, you will get the opportunity to test one's individual strength. In addition, you will have the chance to experience the Pilates concepts on a piece of equipment that focuses on the lower unit of the body as well as stability of the whole body.
For those who are new to this piece of equipment, it is easy to become acclimated with it. There are adjustable springs that will move according the resistance that is desired. The great part is that everyone can perform the same
exercise in a semi-private session. It's simply a matter of adjusting the spring
tension.
The following are benefits of a continuous practice on the Chair:
• Improved upper body strengthen, pectorals and latissimus dorsi
• Lower abdominal development
• Development of underutilized muscles of the legs, inner thighs, hamstrings
• Strengthen glutes and muscles surrounding the pelvis
• Increased endurance and stamina
• Improved stability and mobility of hip and shoulder joints
• Overall strength of the entire torso
This one hour semi-private will test one's individual strength. In addition, you will
have the chance to experience the Pilates concepts on a piece of equipment (the
chair) that focuses on the stability of the whole body.
*Semi-privates are 1 hour long and have a maximum of 4 participants. Each
participant will work on their own combo chair.
A 24 HOUR CANCELLATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL SEMI-PRIVATES.
OTHERWISE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR MISSED SESSION.
